After building her successful bespoke luxury lingerie brand GOSS Lingerie for three seasons, New Zealand-based designer Kay Goss has recently branched out into the world of ready-to-wear with her namesake label KAY GOSS.
The first ready-to-wear collection is a mix of uptown and downtown chic says the designer, ‘like the lingerie, it is a mix of sexy and elegant.’
The collection is entitled ‘TEASE’ after inspiration taken from award-winning New York-based artist Jeremy Penn whose pop art interpretations echo the artistic iconic greats. KAY GOSS SS16 is, in particular, referencing Penn’s Bardot images which offer vintage inspiration mixed with modern femininity.
All garments in the collection are made in 100% silk and 100% silk mesh
alongside Nylon lycra mesh and Chantilly lace. The fabrics are carefully chosen for their drape and how they feel against the skin but most importantly for their feminine glamour.
The "TEASE" collection retails from $500 - $1800.
